And it did annoy me a *little* bit was how fast the romance, and the whole plot really was as we neared the end of the book.

The romance between violet- the seer, and Cyrus- the prince was also great and I loved how they hated each other and still had casual endeavours with one another.īut what wasn’t too amazing for me was how fast the plot progressed towards the end. It surprised me at times too, which was great because I hate predictable plots LOL. It was very well thought out from the beginning till almost the end of the book. One of the things that really pleased me was the plot. I’m definitely excited to see where book two leads us to. The setting was perfect, it was heavily inspired by a fairytale setting- which I loved of course! There were forests, magical trees and GAHHHH, it was just amazing. And it is safe to say I’m a simp for Violet Lune. I need more books with not-perfect main characters- the ones who aren’t a perfect balance, but the ones who have too much of something and too little of another.

she is sharp-tongued, unapologetic, very prideful, and somewhat selfish. Violet is one of the best protagonists I have read about to date.
